Coyote Rim Fibers began as a small, family farm nestled in the hills of the Palouse country near Troy, Idaho. The various breeds of sheep and llamas were selected for specific fiber qualities and color. Life transitions have turned the farm emphasis more toward value added products and artistic pursuits. Coyote Rim Fibers is now operating out of a cottage in Fossil, Oregon. Though I no longer have my own flock, I am committed to supporting small, family owned wool growers. All of the products I sell are from the fleeces of my original flock or regional, family owned farm flocks. I have been a shepherd, felter, and spinner for nearly 20 years. With a passion for fiber and the animals that provide it, I create and market handmade felt art and products, needle felt kits and fiber related cards at fiber and art shows throughout the northwest United States. In an ongoing effort to share the wonderful world of wool, I conduct workshops and demonstrations at the farm, fiber shows, university textile departments and fiber retreats. Life is a balance of work, creativity, and simple pleasures from the nature, animals, and solitude that surrounds me. A small piece of my paradise exists in each item I sell - welcome and enjoy!
